LFT is: long glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic.
Parts made of LFT materials have the characteristics of light weight, high hardness, good elastic modulus, high impact strength, tensile strength, and high temperature resistance, so they have been widely used in the automotive field.
There are currently three influential processes on the market, namely E-LFT, D-LFT and S-LFT processes. The modification of E-LFT long glass fiber reinforced plastic is simultaneous synthesis and direct extrusion molding or sheeting. The modification of D-LFT long glass fiber reinforced plastic is simultaneous synthesis and direct extrusion molding. The modification of S-LFT long glass fiber reinforced plastic is simultaneous synthesis and direct injection molding.
Molded products include control panels, sound insulation covers, front bumpers, main frame, steering wheel, frame and doors, rear aprons and fenders. Its application in electrical appliance manufacturing and construction industries is also constantly being developed.
